Get Involved

Citizens, elected officials, special interest groups, Native American tribal nations, and local, state, and federal agencies were encouraged to get involved by reviewing the information provided on this website, participating in public scoping, and providing comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. 

Public Scoping

The Air Force conducted public scoping with in-person public meetings on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26, 2024. The meetings used an open-house format with poster stations, and no formal presentation was provided.  A comment table was available for attendees to submit comments.  The public scoping materials remain available on the Documents page of this website.  

Draft EIS

The Draft EIS was released to the public on August 29, 2025, for a 45-day public comment period. The Draft EIS can be downloaded from the Documents page of this website.

While in-person or virtual public meetings/hearings were not held for the Draft EIS, a pre-recorded slideshow presenting the findings of the Draft EIS was developed and can be viewed here:

Final EIS 

While the Air Force did not solicit public input on the Final EIS, it was published on April 24, 2026, for the public to read and can be downloaded from the Documents page.  

Record of Decision (ROD)

The Air Force signed a Record of Decision on June 10, 2026, selecting Alternative 3 for implementation.
